Volunteering with Mowana Care goes beyond just giving your time. When you join us, you’re helping to create a more just and equitable world for all mothers and children. Together, we can make this vision a reality. Whether you volunteer alone, with a friend, or as part of a group, your contribution makes all the difference.

VOLUNTEER AT OUR HEADQUARTERS IN NEW JERSEY

FOR GROUPS

We’re based in New Jersey and welcome volunteers of all ages 7 and up. Bring your family, friends, co-workers, teammates, or parent groups for a hands-on experience! Join us Monday through Friday for a 2-hour volunteer session at our headquarters. Your group will work on meaningful projects that directly impact children and families across the country. For groups of 40 or more, a financial donation is required to help cover the costs of materials and ensure a productive session.

FOR COMPANIES

Build a culture of care and connection within your organization. During your volunteer session, your team will enjoy a personalized experience, learning about Mowana Care’s mission and the impact your support has on the families we serve. We can host groups of 20-200 at our New Jersey headquarters or bring a session to your office. A monetary donation may be required based on the size and scope of your team.

FOR INDIVIDUALS

Come solo and leave with new connections and a full heart. Join us at our New Jersey headquarters and lend a hand wherever help is needed. Host A Drive

There are three ways to host a Mowana Care drive:

HOST A DRIVE

In-Person Drive: Pick up your Mowana Care bin from our New Jersey HQ and collaborate with our team to ensure a successful drive. We’ll provide you with a list of our most needed items and promotional flyers to spread the word.

Virtual Drive: Help us gather high-need items by hosting a virtual drive. Items from our curated wishlist will be shipped directly to our warehouse, ready to be distributed to families in need.

Monetary Drive: Stretch your impact by hosting a monetary drive. Your funds help us maximize our reach through wholesale and manufacturing partnerships. We’ll provide a customized fundraising page, marketing materials, and more to help you succeed.

VOLUNTEER AT HOME

There are three ways to Volunteer at home with us:

HELP AT HOME

Download the checklist of items needed for each hygiene kit. Purchase the items (about $15 per kit) from your local store.

Assemble the kits with your family or group. If hosting a group event, share the provided video about Mowana Care and the impact your efforts will have.

Once the kits are assembled, coordinate delivery or shipping to our designated location so they can be distributed to families in need.

INTERN WITH US

There are three ways to Intern with us:

INTERN WITH US

Apply to Mowana Care’s internship program and gain hands-on experience at a distinguished nonprofit. You’ll be paired with dedicated supervisors who provide mentorship and guidance throughout your internship.

Participate in our semester-long program, designed for students who are eager to develop the skills needed for a successful career in the nonprofit sector and beyond.

Internships take place at our New Jersey headquarters, and all students must be eligible to receive school credit for the position.

Volunteer Health Professionals

There are three ways to Intern with us:

CARE WITH US

Sign Up: Health professionals interested in volunteering can easily sign up online, providing their credentials and areas of expertise.

Mowana Heart Training: Volunteers undergo our Mowana Heart Training, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care tailored to the needs of mothers and families in crisis.

Get Matched and Make an Impact: After training, volunteers are matched with mothers in need, offering essential care, guidance, and emotional support to help families navigate challenging times with confidence and compassion.
